Booking Policies

Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule, we ask that you do so at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. This policy is to ensure our schedule stays available to those who are serious about keeping their appointments. We understand emergencies happen and are happy to discuss further if this is the case. Your understanding is greatly appreciated!

How to: You can change your appointment by referring to the original appointment email confirmation. Scroll down and tap "change appointment." If you need to make a change after the 24-hour mark, please call or text us immediately at (424) 467-7229.

Charge details: Last-minute cancellations, rescheduled, or no-shows will be charged 50% of the total service fee for first-time offenses. For repeat offenders, 90% of the total service fee will be charged. If the card on file cannot be processed for payment, your account will show a past-due balance which will need to be taken care of before making another appointment.

Reschedule Limits
Your appointment means a lot to us and your time is reserved just for you. If an appointment is rescheduled more than 5 times in a row, we will assume you aren't serious about wanting a treatment and your appointment will be automatically cancelled. Clients who do this are blocked from future bookings.

Late Arrivals
If you arrive late to your appointment, we will do as much as possible in the time remaining, but the treatment will be completed at the original time scheduled. Our clients have always been appreciative to begin their facial treatments on time, and we strictly adhere to these policies to be respectful of everyone’s schedule.

POP Extraction Appointments
POP Extraction Appointments are reserved for 1 emergency extraction within 7 days of your last facial. If it's been a while since your last treatment, please schedule an appointment.

Credit Card Usage & Ways to Pay

  • Clients must have a valid credit card on file in order to book an appointment. All cards are vaulted securely in the Square payment system

  • All major credit/debit cards and cash are accepted

  • We no longer use Venmo or Zelle for client payments


Gratuities
Gratuities are entirely at your discretion and are not included in the price of treatments.

Phones
Please refrain from talking on your phone during treatment and set your ringer off.

Children & Pets
As much as we love kids and furry friends, please leave them at home unless you require a service animal.

Sick
We are adamant about providing an extra clean environment for the sake of everyone’s health. We ask that you kindly reschedule your appointment in the appropriate time frame if you do not feel well or have any kind of contagious infection.

Sanitization and Sterilization
Sanitization is a top priority at The Modern Ū. We work with professional medical-grade disinfectants, sanitizers, sterilants, and other chemicals to clean all implements, equipment, and surfaces. Implements are never reused before they are thoroughly disinfected. All linens are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each use. If at any time an item cannot be thoroughly cleaned after use it is disposed of.

Medical History
Medical history forms must be filled out by all clients prior to your Initial Custom Treatment. This information is collected in order to ensure we have a clear understanding of your medical history, medications, active topicals being used, allergies, and recent surgeries. This will enable us to clearly identify any contraindications to treatments or products. The goal is to always ensure you are an optimal candidate for treatment(s) and to identify if a treatment needs to be altered to suit your needs. Your health and safety are top priority – therefore it is mandatory to fill out all required forms and to be 100% honest in all answers. All medical information will be kept confidential and we abide by all privacy laws.

Minors
We do not service clients under the age of 18. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Valuables
The Modern Ū does not assume liability for lost or forgotten personal items.

Pricing
Treatment and product pricing is subject to change at any time.

Promotions
Specials/Promo/Sales can not be used or combined with any other offer, promotions, or third-party gift certificates and online vouchers.


Shop Policies

Shipping

Turnaround
All orders are shipped no later than 48 hours of receipt on Mondays and Wednesdays. We do not ship on holidays.

Shipping Rates
Orders over $200 receive free shipping at checkout with the code "SHIPPING200". All other orders pay a flat fee rate of $9 and packages can be shipped anywhere in the US. We do not ship out of the country at this time.

Carrier
We use USPS Priority Mail Insured.

Order Tracking
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email confirmation with a USPS tracking number. Please allow up to 24 hours for your order to be processed by USPS.

Pickup
For LA locals, we welcome you to order products online and schedule them for a convenient pickup time during business hours. Please allow up to 2 hours for your order to be prepared. A notification will be sent when your order is ready for pickup and you are welcome to stop in as soon as you receive the notification. All purchased items will be left in a bag at reception, no receipt is necessary!

Back Orders
If an item goes on back order, we will reach out to let you know and send the part of your order that is in stock first. When the item becomes available we will send you the remainder of your order at no additional charge for shipping.

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
All treatment, retail, and shipping sales are final and non-refundable.
Returns and/or exchanges will not be accepted on any products purchased at The Modern Ū since sterile skincare products cannot be reused or re-sold. If you find that a product is damaged, defective, or causing an allergic reaction, please notify us and we will be happy to find a solution for you!
