For the Love of Kombucha

One of the best things to consume first thing in the morning is an alkaline liquid to adjust the body’s pH. After 6+ hours of sleep, acidity builds in the gut, and heavy foods with the addition of coffee can be a shock to the system. Warm water with lemon is a great way to bring balance, kombucha is another great choice.

I’m a big fan of kombucha for it’s health benefits. This fermented drink is made with sugar, tea, yeast and beneficial bacteria – aka PROBIOTICS! It has antiseptic and antioxidant properties.

Our gut is lined with tons of “good” bacteria that help support digestion and the immune system, which in turn help support the appearance and health of S K I N. The gut, brain and skin function together as a single holistic system. When the body is off balance, we see signs of inflammation reflected in the skin such as acne, eczema, and rashes. I strongly believe in healing inflammation and disease from the inside out.
